U.S. Federal
The Pew Center on Global Climate Change seeks to inform the design and implementation of federal policies that will significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Drawing from its extensive peer-reviewed published works, in-house policy analyses, and tracking of current legislative proposals, the Center provides research, analysis, and recommendations to policymakers in Congress and the Executive Branch.
Climate Change in Congress
Climate change is a top issue for leaders in both the House and Senate in 2008. The Lieberman-Warner Climate Security Act is the first greenhouse gas cap-and-trade bill to be voted out of a full Congressional committee. The Pew Center provides key Members and their staffs with the credible information needed to develop a cost-effective, environmentally-sound federal climate policy.
